Once I’m enrolled, what do I need to do?

Once your enrolled we will notify you by email to confirm we have received your application. Days before the audition we will send you another email inviting you to audition. The auditions for the course 2023-2024 will be held, predictably, on October 22th or November 8th, 2023 from 3 pm to 9 pm (the participants will be divided into time groups).

Why do we have to audition?

Due to the grand number of entrants which we receive we have to carry out auditions where we evaluate how keen you are to participate in this project. We also evaluate the theatrical experience, stage presence, artistic experience, physical coordination and musical or dance capacity which you may be able to have.

What is the time of the workshops and where?

In the event that you are one of the candidates chosen, in theory, the classes start, predictably, on November. The classes are every Wednesday from 3 pm to 7 pm in the Old School of ‘Magisterio “Ausiàs March” of the University of Valencia (C/ Alcalde Reig, 8) which is near to the Palau de les Arts. The course will be from November 2023 until March 2024.  After the acting training course, the production process of the new show for the Escena Erasmus Tours of summer 2024 will begin.

How much does it cost?

The course is 100% subsidized by the organizing institutions. When the course finishes you will receive a training diploma and another diploma with 2 ECTS credits. Students who are also involved in the artistic production for the Escena Erasmus Tours will receive 2 complementary ECTS credits.

Is it necessary to have an advanced level of Spanish?

No. There is not a problem if you do not have a good level of Spanish. The classes and activities will help your Spanish improve little by little until gain fluency.

If I have problems with the times of the classes, is there a solution?

In the case that you have problems with the hours of the class, we can get involved and provide you with a letter of justification which means you may be able to change the group, or we can speak with a professor on your behalf. If you want to participate in the Escena Erasmus, you have to bear in mind that every Wednesday of the course in the afternoon you will have to attend the classes of the acting training workshop, so we recommend that you do not include any subject at that time.

Is the Project of Escena Erasmus important?

The European Theatre project of Escena Erasmus has the European Youth Charlemagne Prize for the European Union. We already have over three hundred alumni, carried out 14 tours within all of Spain and we already have developments in  other venues of Europe in Germany, Italy, Poland or Bulgaria.
