{"id":1205,"date":"2016-05-19T10:03:56","date_gmt":"2016-05-19T08:03:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.escenaerasmus.eu\/en\/?page_id=1205"},"modified":"2016-06-22T12:32:25","modified_gmt":"2016-06-22T10:32:25","slug":"v-edition-2013-2014","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.escenaerasmus.eu\/en\/our-story\/v-edition-2013-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"V Edition (2013 &#8211; 2014)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row u_row_style=&#8221;0&#8243; u_row_paralax=&#8221;0&#8243; u_row_scheme=&#8221;0&#8243;][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243; el_class=&#8221;first&#8221;][vc_wp_custommenu nav_menu=&#8221;3&#8243;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;3\/4&#8243; el_class=&#8221;padding-30 last&#8221;][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;text-wrapper justify&#8221;]During 2013-2014, <strong>Escena Erasmus celebrated their fifth anniversary<\/strong> and on the 4th and 5th of April, all of the alumni held a reunion from twenty one different countries.<\/p>\n<p>During this commemoration there was a reading of the declaration of the Valencia Escena Erasmus 2014 \u2018<em>Something is rotten in Europe<\/em>\u2019 a phrase extracted from Hamlet by the youths which, through theatre intended to capture the attention of the Government, Political Powers and Civilians of Europe by demanding a right in a future of knowledge, justice and liberty for Europe within the diversity of culture and united politics.<\/p>\n<p>As is tradition, the show \u2018<em>The firefighter of Bucarest<\/em>\u2019 was produced, which paid <strong>homage to Romany literature from the twentieth century<\/strong> which, furthermore was a critical and social reflection about the relation between Eastern European countries and those which are supposedly the \u2018first economies\u2019 of the continent.<\/p>\n<p>In this year we also celebrated the second version of the program \u2018<strong>The little Europes<\/strong>\u2019 which put Escena Erasmus in line for creating the show \u2018After Europe\u2019 an unpublished text written specifically for the occasion by the Valencian author Javier Sahuquillo and directed by Joseph Valero which intended to create a before and after form of treating the different reflections of Europe which we always try to exhibit through our performances. With this production we visited the Valencian towns of Sellent, Titaguas, Albalat dels Tarongers, Gestalgar, Faura, Sumac\u00e0rcer, Castielfabib y Cofrentes.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing with the social involvement of Escena Erasmus in <strong>projects raising the awareness of the city<\/strong>, in December 2013 we co &#8211; organised, alongside the Delegation of the Community of Valencia, <strong>ACNUR<\/strong> (UNHCR) the day \u2018<em>a river of music and poetry for ACNUR, emergency in Syria, help those to refine their roots in their lives<\/em>\u2019 in the riverbed of the Turia within the city.<\/p>\n<p>In November 2013 we celebrated the second show of the year with \u2018<em>New routes of theatrical creation, of the improvisation and scenic creation<\/em>.\u2019 which was headed by the actor Carles Montoliu. In April 2014 the team of directors participated in the Days of Theatre and Education organised for the Xarxa Alcover in Sant Juli\u00e0 de L\u00f2ria (Andorra).<\/p>\n<p>During the month of May in 2014, a new headquarters of Escena Erasmus was created in the city of Cagliari in the Italian Island of Cerde\u00f1a. Scena Erasmus Cagliari, was promoted by <strong>Scuola de Arte Drammatica di Cagliari i Akr\u00f2ama<\/strong>.
